It was a joint birthday celebration with one of my best buddies in the F1 Restaurant last month, where western food dominated the restaurant’s menu (slightly similar with TGI Friday’s and Chilli’s). Though they do serve local food, but it is best to stay away from it since those food can be easily found at cheaper stalls elsewhere.
For starters, we began with Chicken Nachos and BBQ Chicken Salad. The four nacho slices were served with diced tomatoes and fresh shredded cabbage, topped with a generous amount of mayonnaise. The dough was thin and crispy, and it was indeed a crunchy and cheesy affair priced at RM10.80.

Meanwhile, the RM9.80 BBQ salad was average, with several BBQ chicken flesh (in long strips) served on a bed of cabbage, tomatoes, carrots and spring onions, and they were all mixed with BBQ sauce. If you are not accustomed to the smell and taste of BBQ sauce, I’d advised you not to try it since it was pretty strong.

As our main course, we ordered Chicken Cheese with Cheese Slice, Chicken Kiev, Mixed Seafood Platter and Seafood A’Laking. Well, you may notice that there were a lot of chicken foodstuffs that we ordered, but rest assured, we are not chicken maniacs! The restaurant does serve steaks but we do not like to savour on beef or lamb meats. The Chicken with Cheese Slice, priced at RM14.50, was just another average western dish that comes with chips and mixed vegetables. The chicken’s skin was rather thick (and oily) but it tasted just nice and salty with a slight hint of cheese (which is quite unsatisfactory coz’ I expect more cheesy flavour from the way they named their dish) and a slice of chicken ham was draped over the chicken meat, covered with brownish gravy.

Next up, the Chicken Kiev was rather disappointing as the outer layer of the chicken meat was over-fried, hence, the dry taste. The side dishes that came with it were only salad and chips, and the meal costs RM13.80. When we sliced the centre of the chicken meat, the cheese inside it flowed out steadily, much to our delight (as if we never seen this before! LOL). However, be forewarned that the meat was slightly difficult to chew. It felt as if we were chewing on a rubber!

Whhooo…melting cheesaaaaayy!
We were not really impressed with the RM18.80 Mixed Seafood Platter. It tasted normal (you can make this dish yourself) and comprised a mixture of chips, sliced lemon, a few calamari, fish meat, fried prawns in flour and salad. The flour that wrapped around the prawn was too thick and it was totally tasteless and dry. We dug the prawn out of the dry cocoon and ate it just like that.

The Seafood A’Laking was perhaps the nicest meal among the dishes that we had ordered. Priced at RM18.80, the spaghetti comes with crabstick, tomatoes, cucumbers, three big mussels, three medium prawns, salmons and squids. You have to mix really well with the mushroom sauce at the bottom and it tasted really good! The squids were easily chewed and the mussels were fresh. Yummy!

If you would like to dine in a car-like environment (the interior of the restaurant was cleverly designed to make you feel as if you are dining in an actual race track), do drop by at this eatery anytime soon.
